Is it just me or did June fly by?!

I think I say this every single month, but with the kids end-of-year activities and functions + the 12,000 things always on my to-do list, here we are.

June’s life highlights include attending my first modeling audition (didn’t get it, but I successfully drove myself there without barfing, so it’s a win), working as a social media consultant (yay for when passions pay off!) and for the second year in a row I found myself sitting next to Pete Carroll at my daughter’s dance performance. I’m not a big deal, I just sit by people who are.

Beyond these highlights in life, I have a few favorites in fashion too. I want to close out this month with items you need + will see a lot of this summer!

HAIR SCARVES

JUMPSUITS

STRAW BAGS

RUFFLES + FLUTTERS

CHUNKY HEELS

I have 2 things to say about this:

✖I think I’ve been waiting my whole life for hair scarves to become a thing.

✖This is legit my favorite fashion season so far.

Also, thank you for your support in purchasing through my affiliate links. I truly appreciate the love!

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale ends today! Get your hustle on and grab some of these deals before they are gone tonight!

Since so many of you are fellow mamas, I want to help curb your FOMO (fear of missing out) as this sale comes to a close! I’ve gone through pages of clothing + grabbed a few of my favorite kiddo items still in stock! The items below are mostly toddler and kid sizes, but some baby, and I’ve broken it down into options for girl and boys.

GIRLS

I’m a fan of anything metallic right now, and this is the perfect gold skirt for back to school. This gold skirt is equally as adorable! My favorite everyday outfit would consist of these cute shoes + this soft Zella hoodie (my daughter already has one and can’t wait to live in it when the weather changes. Her favorite part is the thumbholes. Ha!)

These cute moto jeans with zippers are to die. Size up!

I’m always a fan of these bow Uggs for girls and you cannot beat this price. And speaking of metallic, I love these gold fringe booties + I may pickup a pair of these pewter booties, too! Also, why don’t these glitter sneaks come in my size??

Every girl needs a white faux fur vest to throw on over sweatshirts, dresses + more.

I’m obsessed with this reversible pink Northface. It’s under $60 and still available in a 2t or size 6!

Check out the crisscross detail on this cardigan. Still available in sizes 7 and 8/10!

You can’t go wrong with an everyday pair of “Chucks.” These Converse run large, so size down. For a laid-back look, I love this jean jacket paired with the shoes!

Love these comfy dark jeggings and, even better, they’re under $20!

Are you even kidding me right now with this too cute dress for fall?! It runs small, so be sure to size up.

Also currently loving the copper zipper on this long Zella hoodie! It would look super cute over these shiny black jeggings.

These little girl Hudson jean leggings are still up for grabs in 2t +3t. These also come in a baby girl version for $20!

And the grand finale.. these black lace up floral Sam Edelman flats are to die! I’d pair them with this olive hooded duster.

BOYS

If you have a baby boy, you must get this soft Northface hoodie in your cart! So cute.

I can’t believe this quilted navy + grey hoodie is still available! Grab one in sizes up through 24mos.

Check out these go-with-everything Chuck Taylors for boys! Remember to size down as they run big. These grey joggers look cute on little boys with some Converse and double as pajama pants (which equals less laundry and that’s a win)!

I love a good baseball tee + this one is under $12!

Love this hooded shirt with these red sneaks.

This basic striped tee comes in grey or burgundy and will work great under a heavier collared shirt when the weather cools down.

You can check out all my favorites for Women here.

Even if you have already shopped the sale, there’s always more to be found! Good luck from these two on making your final picks. 🙂

I love a good outfit and this, my friends, is the power suit of summer.

Having two kids has taught me that summer is no longer a fun break. It’s more of a sweaty circus + I’m convinced the only breaks in parenthood are going to work or taking vacations sans the littles. That being said, summer is still about more friend time + more adventure than what the rest of the year holds for most of us.

Here’s your perfect summer outfit inspo.

I got two compliments on this outfit just walking across a non-crowded parking lot to take these photos.. even with two screaming kids in tow. Most people run from me when the crazy train moves through, so there you go. You need this look in your closet like brownies need ice cream. 😉

Grab your favorite white tank (here’s mine) + shop the rest below to get this look!

Duster | This flowy cream duster + this striped flowy duster from Joyfolie are so similar to what I have on and they’re absolutely stunning! This Free People option from Lulus is also gorg. This Sun & Shadow option is also cute + I love this crochet goodness! I also found this cute shorter lace option at Target.

Necklace | Joyfolie

Cutoffs | This darker denim option + this lighter demin are both from Apricot Lane + they’re perfect.

Gladiators | Nordstrom has some cute stuff right now! These beauties are on sale for only $89 + these are super cute in the caramel color. Here is a short wedge option + this shorter caged option is on sale for under $40!

Ready or not, we are cruising right into the heart of summer.

As you probably know, my happy place is Cali, but I really can’t argue with spending my 4th watching fireworks over the lake from my favorite lawn chair. Any kind of vacation near water is pretty great, really. Kid tip #2453: When kids have you crazy enough that a bridge jump sounds appealing, throw life jackets on them and let the lake do the babysitting. All I’ve had to do this week is put on their tiny swimming suits + toss some sort of lunch toward the water around noon each day. 🙂

I hope you all had a fun + safe 4th of July! My little fam bam is definitely having a blast.

With summer, comes getting out of the house more than usual and you’re going to need something to wear!

As things do, this gorg flowy dress sold out, but I’ve found several similar options for you! Signup for an in-stock notification if you like it in the tomato color, and you’ll be the first to know when it comes back!

I’ve got a small shrine of footwear going, so let’s talk shoes!

Isn’t it crazy how, even in your 30’s, you still identify as early 20’s? But, then you hang out with people in their early 20’s and they confirm they are no longer your people. Kids, careers and relationships bring a lot of change that we don’t see coming and we don’t recognize as it all happens. Then, before you know it, your 20 year old single-pair-of-flip-flop-wearing self turns into this 30-something with a small shoe museum.

If you knew me a  decade ago, you know my dedication to flip flops was real. All year long. Rain or shine. Sometimes tall people just want to wear short, easy shoes.

Fast forward to today, I probably get an awesome pair of shoes with every third outfit I buy.

You guys would be proud of how my shoe ambitions have evolved in variety. Maybe shoes are just the only expression our weary bodies have left by this tiring point in life. Either way, SHOES!

So on that note, I have a 2017 blogging resolution: blog all the cute things the minute I find them. I’ve rounded up some amazingly cute shoe picks and a few of them have already become instant sell outs! It’s like I have thousands extensions of me out there stalking Nordstrom.com.

Enjoy these picks and, if you can’t find what you want at Nordstrom, try calling the store to double check their inventory. Also, try visiting their site from a different source (i.e. via Instagram ad) for a slighty different inventory.

These beauties are my absolute FAVES right now and they are too good not to share with an entire look. For being statement shoes, they go with almost everything!
